One of the few perks of dealing with the wide variety of customers we encounter at the Fire House are the dramatic back stories we create for them. We have, puppet woman, who – believes theater should only be done using puppets – refuses to open alcohol of any sort and will lecture anyone who requests this drink, 007, a greasy, half lidded man who can barely reach the top of the counter- and of course (my personal favorites), Mr. Clement Blanco and Dr. Carlisle.
Clement, small and rat like, lopes along on uncharacteristically long legs. However, he barely reaches my own height of 5 foot 4. Clemet's head, a massive globe adorned with a dark grey comb over rests upon his tooth pick neck. His teeth look like bits of mosaic tiles, pear white and widely spaced. I cannot tell the color of his eyes as he wears small dark rectangular sunglasses at all times.
His companion seems at least fifty and stands taller than the average doorway. Carlisle's head has no hair and at the center of his wrinkles protrudes a bulbous nose with liver spots all over. His bulldog jowls wobble and cause his mouth to remain in a permanent pout whenever he speaks. Not unusual among the elderly, he slumps with bad posture and his glasses are about an inch thick and so large they nearly swallow up his forehead. As the most distinguishing feature on this man he sports a gold fish sized bumpy jade and silver ring with a matching cuff bracelet.
The two live over 200 miles away from each other and my boss and I simply cannot figure it out. What is their story?
